1997 Hummer H1 — Full Ceramic Window Tint for Predator Inc. — San Marcos, CA

A special one: our technician traveled out to the Predator Inc. build facility in San Marcos, California to tint a fully custom 1997 Hummer H1 — bedlined body, roof rack, light bars, snorkel, winch bumper and 40-inch mud terrains. The film package was built around how an H1 actually gets used: 5% limo ceramic on the rear and side windows for maximum privacy and heat control over the big flat glass, 35% ceramic on the two front doors so the cab stays legal-looking and the mirrors and side vision stay usable, and 50% ceramic on the front windshield to knock down the brutal solar load coming through the H1's near-vertical, oversized windshield without darkening the driver's view. An H1 is essentially a rolling greenhouse — huge glass area, minimal insulation, and A/C that was never designed for a Southern California summer — so infrared rejection matters more here than on almost any other vehicle we tint. The HiTek Ceramic IR film rejects up to 88% of infrared heat and 99% of UV, dropping cabin temperature dramatically, protecting the custom interior, seats and dash from UV fade, and cutting glare on long desert and off-road runs. The film is 100% non-metallic, so there is no interference with the aftermarket radios, comms antennas, GPS, light controllers or accessory electronics packed into a build like this. Every panel was hand-cut and fit on site around the H1's boxy frames, removable door glass and thick weather seals — no shrinking corners, no gaps, clean edges throughout. Backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading. Big thanks to the crew at Predator Inc. in San Marcos for having us out — if you need a serious off-road or overland build, that's who to call.

2026 Ford F-250 King Ranch Tremor — 5% Ceramic Tint on Rear Sides & Back Glass — El Cajon, San Diego

A VIP repeat-customer build: a 2026 Ford F-250 King Ranch Tremor in Stone Gray Metallic, tinted at the owner's home in El Cajon with 5% HiTek ceramic film on the rear side windows and the back glass. This is a genuinely huge truck — crew cab, Tremor off-road package, 35s, a color-matched bed shell — and the owner wanted the rear half fully blacked out so the cab, the canopy glass and the darkened trim all read as one solid mass. Limo 5% is the darkest shade we install, and on a Super Duty it is the right call: California law allows any darkness behind the driver on a truck or SUV, so the rear doors and back glass can be taken all the way down without touching legality up front. The result on Stone Gray is exactly what the customer was after — from the side, the glass disappears into the shell and the truck looks like it left the factory murdered out in back. Function matters just as much on a work truck. Ceramic film blocks up to 93% of infrared heat and 99% of UV, which is the difference between a rear cabin that bakes all afternoon in El Cajon — one of the hottest inland pockets in San Diego County, routinely 10-15 degrees above the coast — and one that stays livable for passengers, dogs, tools and gear. It also protects the King Ranch leather, the stitched dash and the rear seat from the UV fade that turns light interiors chalky in a couple of seasons, and it cuts headlight glare through the back glass at night. The film is 100% non-metallic and signal-safe: SYNC connectivity, GPS, trailer-camera systems, TPMS, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage and the rear cross-traffic radar all work exactly as delivered. Every panel was hand-cut and heat-shrunk to the Super Duty's large flat door glass and deeply curved back window, with edges tucked cleanly at the belt line — no light gaps, no shrink lines, no peeling. Installed mobile in the customer's driveway in El Cajon, San Diego County, and backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading.

2023 Range Rover Velar — Two Front Windows Matched to the Factory Rear Glass — Rancho Bernardo, San Diego

A 2023 Range Rover Velar in Fuji White, tinted at the owner's home in Rancho Bernardo with HiTek ceramic film on the two front windows, shade-matched to the factory privacy glass behind the B-pillar. This is the single most requested job we do on a luxury SUV, and the one that is easiest to get wrong. Factory privacy glass on a Velar is not window film — it is dyed glass, so it looks dark from outside but does almost nothing for infrared heat, and it comes only on the rear doors, quarter glass and hatch. The two front doors leave the factory clear, which is exactly where the driver and front passenger take the most sun. Matching the fronts to that rear shade turns a two-tone SUV into one continuous, factory-correct line of glass from the mirror to the tailgate, and it puts real heat-rejecting ceramic film exactly where the cabin heats up fastest. Our meter on the finished front glass read 17.5% VLT with 100% UV rejection and 94.9% infrared rejection — that IR number is what separates true ceramic from the cheap dyed film that only looks dark. Ceramic is a nano-particle film with no metal in it at all, so nothing interferes with the Velar's Pivi Pro connectivity, GPS, keyless entry, TPMS, blind-spot monitoring, the 360 camera system or the driver-assist radar. On a white Velar the visual payoff is dramatic: the gloss black roof, black window surrounds and flush door handles all tie together with the matched glass, and the car reads far more expensive standing still. Rancho Bernardo runs consistently hotter than the coast — inland North County regularly sits 10-15 degrees above La Jolla in the afternoon — so ceramic on the fronts means an interior that cools quickly, an AC that isn't fighting the glass on the 15, far less glare on the long open stretches of Bernardo Center Drive and Rancho Bernardo Road, and a light interior protected from the UV that cracks dashes and fades leather. Every panel was hand-cut and heat-shrunk to the Velar's steeply curved front door glass, edges tucked clean at the belt line, no light gaps and no shrink lines. Installed mobile in the customer's driveway in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, and backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading.

2018 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S — 20% Ceramic Film All Around — Scripps Ranch, San Diego

A 2018 Mercedes-AMG E 63 S in Obsidian Black over a red and black AMG interior, tinted at the owner's home in Scripps Ranch with 20% HiTek ceramic film all the way around — both front doors, both rear doors and the back glass in one uniform shade. On a black AMG sedan this is the single cleanest look you can specify. A matched 20% keeps every pane reading the same from any angle, so the chrome window surrounds, the gloss black mirrors and the AMG side skirts all frame one continuous dark band instead of the two-tone look you get when only the rear is done. Twenty percent is the sweet spot for a performance sedan: dark enough for real privacy and a properly aggressive stance, light enough that visibility at night stays comfortable and the AMG's low-slung seating position doesn't fight you at intersections. What makes this install matter beyond the look is the film itself. Ceramic is a nano-particle construction with zero metal, rejecting up to 93% of infrared heat and 99% of UV, and that is exactly what a black car with a red leather interior needs in San Diego. Black paint absorbs heat, so an E 63 parked in the sun in Scripps Ranch soaks it up all afternoon; the red AMG leather and Alcantara trim are also the kind of interior that UV punishes hardest, fading and hardening dyed leather over a few seasons. Ceramic film stops that at the glass instead of letting the cabin do the work. Because there is no metal in the film, nothing interferes with the E 63's electronics — COMAND and MBUX connectivity, GPS, Distronic radar, blind-spot monitoring, the 360 camera, keyless-go and TPMS all behave exactly as delivered, which is not true of cheap metallic films. Every panel was hand-cut on our plotter and heat-shrunk to the E 63's heavily curved frameless-look door glass and steeply raked rear window, with edges tucked clean at the belt line — no light gaps, no shrink lines, no purple fade later. Installed mobile in the customer's driveway in Scripps Ranch, San Diego, and backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading.

2022 MINI Cooper John Cooper Works — 2 Front Windows Matched to the Rear, Ceramic IR Tint — Rancho Bernardo, San Diego

Midnight Black 2022 MINI Cooper John Cooper Works ALL4 with the signature Chili Red roof, mirror caps and bonnet stripes, tinted at the customer's home in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego County — HiTek Ceramic IR film on the two front door windows, shade-matched to the darker glass already on the rear of the car so the whole silhouette reads as one continuous band of glass. A JCW is a small, glassy car: the greenhouse is short, the driver sits close to the door glass, and any mismatch between the front doors and the rear windows is instantly obvious on a car with this much visual attitude. Matching the front two windows finishes the look and, more importantly, cuts the heat and glare landing directly on the driver and passenger through the closest glass in the car. Ceramic IR is the right film for a performance hatch: it rejects up to 88% of infrared heat and 99% of UV, so a black JCW parked in the Rancho Bernardo sun off Bernardo Center Drive or the I-15 stops turning into an oven, the sport seats and leather-wrapped wheel stay touchable, and the A/C recovers in a couple of minutes instead of a couple of miles. The film is 100% non-metallic, so there is zero interference with MINI Connected, the head-up display, parking sensors, GPS, satellite radio, Bluetooth, keyless entry or the tire pressure sensors — something metalized film simply cannot promise. Unlike cheap dyed film that bubbles, hazes and turns purple after two San Diego summers, this ceramic film keeps a true neutral black for the life of the car. Installed mobile with hand-cut patterns, careful edge work along the MINI's frameless door glass and chrome surrounds, and backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading. If you drive a MINI, GTI, Civic Si, Golf R or any hot hatch with clear front doors and dark rear glass, front-two-window matching is the single best-value tint upgrade there is.

2026 Tesla Model Y (Ultra Red) — 5% Back Windows, 20% Fronts, Ceramic IR — Chula Vista

Brand-new 2026 Tesla Model Y in Ultra Red, tinted at the customer's home in Chula Vista, San Diego County — HiTek Ceramic IR film at 5% on the rear side windows and rear glass with 20% on the two front doors, so the car keeps a deep, legal-front, factory-looking gradient from the A-pillar back. A new Model Y is one of the worst vehicles in the world to leave untinted: enormous glass area, a full glass roof, black interior options that soak up heat, and a battery-driven A/C that has to burn range to fight solar load. Ceramic IR is the correct answer — up to 88% infrared heat rejection and 99% UV — so the cabin comes down to temperature in a couple of minutes instead of a couple of miles, the seats and dash stop cooking in the Chula Vista sun off Eastlake Parkway and the I-805, and the climate system pulls noticeably less energy on a hot afternoon, which is real range you keep. Going 5% on the back gives near-total privacy over the cargo area, child seats and everything visible through the Model Y's huge hatch glass, while 20% up front keeps the driver's view clean at night and the mirrors usable. The film is 100% non-metallic, so Autopilot cameras, the cabin sensors, GPS, LTE, Bluetooth, phone-as-key and TPMS all behave exactly as they did from the factory — metalized film cannot make that promise on a Tesla. Installed mobile with hand-cut patterns, careful edge work along the frameless door glass so the film survives the auto-drop cycle, and backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading. If you just took delivery of a Model Y, Model 3, Model X or Cybertruck in San Diego County, tinting it before the first heat wave is the single best comfort and interior-protection upgrade you can buy.

2023 Ford F-150 Roush Edition (Velocity Blue) — 50% Fronts, 70% Ceramic Windshield, Rear Glass & Moonroof — San Diego

A 2023 Ford F-150 Roush Edition in Velocity Blue — Roush grille, fender flares, hood graphics, black wheels and 33s — treated to a full HiTek Ceramic IR heat-rejection package in San Diego. The layout was built for a work-and-play truck that lives outside all day: 50% ceramic on the two front doors so the cab stays bright, legal-looking and easy to see out of at night, and 70% ceramic on the rear glass, the windshield and the panoramic moonroof for maximum invisible heat rejection with virtually no change in appearance. That is the part most people miss — heat rejection is not the same thing as darkness. A high-quality 70% ceramic film looks almost clear but still rejects up to 88% of infrared heat and 99% of UV, which is exactly what you want on a windshield and a glass roof where California law and visibility both demand a light film. On an F-150 the windshield is enormous and nearly vertical, and the moonroof is a direct skylight over the front occupants — those two panels are where most of the cabin heat actually enters. Treating both with 70% ceramic drops dash and steering-wheel surface temperatures dramatically, keeps the A/C from fighting a losing battle on the I-15 and I-805 in August, protects the leather and the Roush interior trim from UV fade and cracking, and cuts the eye fatigue that comes from hours of direct overhead sun. The film is 100% non-metallic, so the F-150's radio, GPS, LTE modem, Ford Pass connectivity, TPMS sensors, blind-spot radar and windshield-mounted camera and rain sensors all operate exactly as they did from the factory. Every panel was hand-cut and heat-shrunk to the truck's curved rear glass and door contours, with clean edges along the crew-cab frames and the moonroof gasket — no light gaps, no shrink lines, no peeling corners. Backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading. If you own a lifted or performance truck in San Diego County, this is the package we recommend: a legal, usable shade up front and full-spectrum ceramic protection on the glass that does the actual cooking.

2026 Lexus IS 350 F Sport — 20% Ceramic IR Sides & Back Glass — Rancho Bernardo, San Diego

A brand-new 2026 Lexus IS 350 F Sport in Ultra White, finished in Rancho Bernardo with HiTek Ceramic IR film at 20% on the two front doors, the rear doors and the back glass so the entire car reads as one uniform shade. On a white car with gloss-black mirror caps, black wheels and red calipers, a matched 20% is the shade that makes the design work — it darkens the greenhouse into a single band instead of leaving the factory rear privacy glass fighting a lighter front. Our meter readings on the finished glass confirmed the numbers we quote: roughly 20% VLT on the doors with 100% UV rejection and up to 93% infrared rejection, and on the untinted windshield line the same film family measures over 90% IR rejection while staying nearly clear. That IR figure is the whole point of paying for ceramic. Infrared is the part of sunlight you feel as heat, and rejecting it is what keeps the black leather seats, the steering wheel and the dash from turning into a heat trap after an afternoon parked off Bernardo Center Drive or at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Inland North County runs hotter than the coast — Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch and Rancho Peñasquitos regularly sit 10-15 degrees above Del Mar on the same afternoon — so IR performance matters far more here than raw darkness. The film is 100% non-metallic and completely signal-safe, so the IS 350's Lexus Interface head unit, GPS, Bluetooth, LTE connectivity, TPMS sensors, blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert all behave exactly as they did from the factory. Every panel was hand-cut and heat-shrunk to the IS's curved door glass and steeply raked rear window, with tight edges along the frameless-look trim, no light gaps, no shrink lines and no peeling corners. Installed mobile in the customer's driveway in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, and backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading.

2026 Tesla Model Y Performance (Glacier Blue) — 20% Ceramic Front Windows + 70% Ceramic Windshield — Ocean Beach, San Diego

A brand-new 2026 Tesla Model Y Performance in Glacier Blue — the launch color for the new Performance trim — tinted at the owner's home in Ocean Beach with full HiTek ceramic film: 20% on the two front doors and a 70% ceramic clear on the windshield. This is the package we recommend on almost every new Model Y. Tesla ships the Model Y with dark factory privacy glass behind the B-pillar, so the rear is already handled visually; what it does not have is any real heat control on the two panels that matter most while you drive. Bringing the front doors to a metered 20% matches the rear glass so the greenhouse reads as one continuous band against the Glacier Blue paint and gloss-black mirror caps, and it stops the mid-afternoon left-arm burn on Sunset Cliffs Blvd and the 8. The windshield is where the real gain lives. A 70% ceramic windshield film is virtually invisible — it keeps the glass looking factory and stays comfortably legal in California — while rejecting up to 93% of infrared heat and 99% of UV through the single largest piece of glass on the car. On a Model Y, with its huge raked windshield and panoramic glass roof, that translates into a cabin that stops feeling like a greenhouse, far less AC draw, and measurably better range on hot inland runs to Mission Valley or up the 5. It also protects the white interior, the Alcantara-trimmed Performance seats and the 15.4-inch center screen from UV fade and heat soak. The film is 100% non-metallic and completely signal-safe: LTE connectivity, GPS, phone key Bluetooth, TPMS, the cabin camera, rain sensor and every Autopilot camera behind the mirror shroud work exactly as delivered. Every panel was hand-cut and heat-shrunk to the Model Y's curved door glass, with the windshield laid in one piece and edges tucked clean to the frit line — no light gaps, no shrink lines, no peeling. Installed mobile in the customer's garage in Ocean Beach, San Diego, and backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, purpling and fading.

Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG Convertible (Black) — High-IR Ceramic Window Tint — Carlsbad, San Diego County

Black Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG V8 Biturbo roadster tinted by BestAutoTechs at the customer's home in Carlsbad, San Diego County — High-IR ceramic film delivering a final-result 92% infrared rejection and 100% UV blockage on the two front door windows of this convertible. Massive jump from the factory glass: stock measured only 56% UV rejection and 68% IR rejection, so after install the customer gained roughly 32% more UV protection and 24% more infrared heat rejection compared to bare factory glass — a meaningful upgrade for a top-down California car that lives in the sun. The ceramic construction is non-metallic, so it never interferes with the SL 55's MBUX infotainment, GPS, satellite radio, Bluetooth, or key fob signal, and the deep High-IR layer keeps the cabin and Nappa leather cooler with the soft top up or down. Mobile install completed on-site, lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking, and fading.
